I have tried with the -D option but I am still getting the same error.

Hello,
you've a typo in the command.
Please take a look at "DarchetypeRepository=
https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/snapshots \", this line
must be "-DarchetypeRepository=
https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/snapshots \" so you're
missing the "-" before "D".
Trying with this correction all works as expected.
