thanks for pointing this out. I think switching to Jackson is a great 
idea. Since Spark is also using it internally, we no longer would need 
to package wink into our jar, reducing footprint by about 100KB.

I noticed that we are using Apache Wink for our JSON handling, that project was 
 retired 2017.

I suggest changing the JSON handling to Jackson.
