Responsive documentation, which provides semantics and interaction at the
individual user level
are within our reach, may be we can try to upgrade to the new/lite platform
without any change to our codebase.
Present issues with SystemML documentation:
1. Even though it is searchable now, but we still do not have full grip
over what is being consumed by the users.
2. We are unable to receive any feedback at the page level.
3. Code snippet copy option not available.
4. Users are unable to see whether the documentation is modified latest.
5. Fixing a tab & taking feedback took over 2 weeks.
with GitBook:
1. All the above issues will be resolved.
2. Documentation will have state-of-the-art features
3. No need to change our codebase, gitbook will mirror our repository
changes.
4. GitBook have agreed to give SystemML project a permanent subscription!
We are hoping to roll it on a page by page basis, at ApacheCon (if
possible!)
