WRT SYSTEMML-489 (https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SYSTEMML-489), support for older Hadoop clusters was assisted by changing the commons-math3 pom.xml scope from "provided" to "compile". Can we update the project to reflect this, or are there any reasons not to?
