Hi folks, Now is the right time to discuss the move to JDK 7 and JDK 8. The recent Hadoop release does not support JDK 6 anymore. As far as I know, many companies using Hadoop were already migrated or are migrating to JDK 7 or 8. We also need to think about stopping JDK 6 support.
