Something I saw on Twitter thanks to Oracle's OpenJDK contributor Dalibor Topic (among the few who don't ignore or block us JCP guys;-) is quite interesting and sounds not so different from what e.g. Tamaya is facing with some former contributors and their different views: https://mailman.cs.umd.edu/pipermail/findbugs-discuss/2016-November/004321.html FindBugs is or was quite a significant code quality tool and I guess it can be called "mature" also by Apache standards. However it seems in serious trouble or suffering at least a very low level of activity by its initial/key committer and a few others left by now having created forks like "HuntBugs".
