Hehe,....Good point. I'm totally for moving to maven to build the site, if you want to take a stab at it by all means, but I wouldn't focus too much on the css / image related design aspect of the site so much as the actual build process using maven and transferring documentation and such.
The new site design is theoretically going to be done by an as yet unnamed designer. I've mostly been waiting for some sort of logo to be picked before pegging him again on doing this part. It looks like we've got a winner (for now, maybe that will change in the future) so hopefully this can move forward. We'd probably still need some sort of shell maven site for him to work out of though, so all the more reason for someone to begin the process. I personally would much prefer to not display the new logo on the main tapestry site until it comes with a complimentary site design, which would hopefully be published to our new tapestry.apache.org address. So..We do need to move to maven2 asap....What are the next steps? I'd do it but I'm hoping to make good on my promise of having an alpha release ready towards the end of the month. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I beg to differ on that "anyone" part - if I were a graphics person, I would have taken a stab at it, so I'm not in the "anyone" category. And I view the main Tapestry website as more than a casual "particular need". Neither here, nor there, tho' - it was a question I raised earlier and wondered if it was still coming. I put together a frame for a site a while ago at http://people.apache.org/~bwallace/tapsite and heard very little (what I did hear was based around "I like it"). I was going from that to build a new site. If that's not wanted, I can abandon that and work on something else. If it is, I'd appreciate "anyone" (quoted to indicate "except me") coming up with a banner sized logo. :-) Brian Jesse Kuhnert wrote: > The logo sources are checked in, so anyone can produce an image to suite a > particular need. > > I'm not sure if the new site layout has been defined yet, hopefully when > things quiet down a bit for our and other releases we can get a little help > in this area.
