Really? That's great! I had no idea so many businesses were supportive of and had chosen tapestry as their technology basis. Does that mean you guys are all going to pool together to help fund the development of a T4->T5 extension library which I've already said I'll be working on?
Or....Do you guys only pool together when it comes to telling us what/how we should do our free work? On 7/31/06, Danny Angus <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
Jesse, You make your points well, I'd like to re-enforce this one if I may... > Once you figure out how everything works of course everyone generally loves > it, but that's still an issue. Its a huge issue and a big bar to upgrade. It completely undermines Tapestry's advantage of having been first to market, because we face that "new framework" cost *again* and many commercial users will surely be considering whether spending *again* on Tapestry is a more mature decision that spending to adopt a more mainstream framework, like JSF, which is supported by people who understand the commercial impact of changing the framework. As a user I would have hoped that Tapestry would be settled into an evolutionary development rather than a revolutionary one, by now. I'm looking for increasing stability and maturity with time from any framework we use, not a continual revolution which leaves me sweating about cost, the availability of skills and the risk of moving from a known to an unknown codebase. d. ******************************************************************************************************* The information in this e-mail is confidential and for use by the addressee(s) only.
