Filip S. Adamsen commented on TAPESTRY-1946:
--------------------------------------------

This is a known bug and is already fixed in the 5.0.7 snapshot -
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TAPESTRY-1627.

Wrt. the start page, see the section about Configuration Symbols at
http://tapestry.formos.com/nightly/tapestry5/tapestry-core/guide/conf.html -
specifically tapestry.start-page-name at the bottom.

> on my start page i created a function like this
> Object onActivate(){
>               return "Home";
> }
> which in turn should direct the user to the home page when the start page is
> loaded.
> generally the when i go to http://localhost:8081/myApp/ the start page would
> display. No with the onActivate redirection no page is shown, just an empty
> browser. It would be nice if when you go to http://localhost:8081/myApp/
> tapestry is smart enough to redirect you to
> http://localhost:8081/myApp/start. As of right now if you do not have a start
> page, you can browse the directories of your application (not a good thing)
> Maybe there could be a property we can set to specify the start page of the
> application if we want it to be names something other then start.
