Howard M. Lewis Ship resolved TAPESTRY-1945.
--------------------------------------------
Resolution: Invalid
Fix Version/s: (was: 5.0.7)
Assignee: Howard M. Lewis Ship
Earlier changes in 5.0.7 streamlined the loading of the Scriptaculous files
(only those that are needed are loaded). Pages that don't use JavaScript will
not include any libraries at all. Other outstanding issues cover minimizing
the JavaScript as well.
> The ability to turn off scriptlous javascript

> it would be great if you could have a properties file that allows you
> configure wether you want scriptalous javascript on the applcation or not.
> doesn't matter where you can config this, but the developer should have
> control over this, since it is a 100k + javascript library. i prefer jquery
> and would like to shut off scriptalous all together. best practice for
> handling javascript libraries is to put all of the libraries in one file,
> then run js packer on it to compress them all. Right now the tapestry
> application makes a ton of http requests to load all of the scriptlous files,
> where as loading one would be a huge performance booster.
