Date Picker renders behind dropdown

I have a bean edit form displaying a date field and then an enum represented by
a dropdown list (<select>). When I click the date field, the date picker popup
renders behind the dropdown.
This occurs in IE 6, not sure about other browsers, but unfortunately this is
still the standard browser in many large companies.
