Hello Howard, I took the opportunity you answered to my post to send you this message from our company :
We want to thank you for your Framework that we used for a big project in our company: development of the official portal of the official French meteorological Agency: http://france.meteofrance.com/. This web site is one of the most visited French web sites with an important traffic: about 800,000 visitors in a day. Performance is very good; we don't have any limitation or problem on the platform due to Tapestry. We have only been facing one problem: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TAPESTRY-2561, which, fortunately, it appears rarely. Tapestry has been used in this project for all dedicated HTML rendering. We have realized an integration of Tapestry and the French portal engine Lutèce in order to use Tapestry rendering in a portlet managed by Lutèce. We used lots of Tapestry features like forms validation and Ajax in the professional side of the projects that will be delivered at the end of the years. -----Message d'origine----- De : Howard Lewis Ship [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Envoyé : lundi 17 novembre 2008 17:16 À : Tapestry development Objet : Re: Tapestry 5 : MarkupModel and strict XML When writing text/html markup, it is necessary to write some tags expanded, because the browser doesn't interpret the XML stream as XML and gets confused by the empty tags (i.e., <script/>). If you change the response type to "text/xml", Tapestry uses a different implementation that outputs pure XML. You'll want to make sure you use a proper DOCTYPE that the browser will understand.
