I've been active with Cayenne for the past several years. I realize
at times that I've gone off the grid, so to speak. Alas, my work
situation doesn't allow me to work on either Cayenne or Tapestry
during work hours, so everything I do is in spare time. I've recently
been able to clear up my schedule and am looking to remain more active
with both projects. I can't say that I won't ever run into a time
period where I won't be able to make contributions, but I'm pretty
committed to both projects.

I think the larger issue, if you will, is that it would be nice if
Robert were able to commit directly to the codebase. That would
require a vote on committer status by the PMC if the project is to be
brought directly up to the top-level Tapestry codebase. I think if it
were a subproject that he could be given permissions independently of
the main codebase. Having said that, Robert has long been active in
the Tapestry community and I wouldn't expect there to be much
objection to his being a committer.

If there are any other concerns, please let me know.
