I agree, although it's no problem to ship the exported site with our releases.

I still think there's value keeping some of the documentation, like
the reference documentation purely in APT format since it would then
naturally go with code and release sites can be archived into separate
locations. I'd imagine that there's only one set of Confluence-based
tutorials etc. but version-specific reference documentation. Excellent
work in any case!

Even better: There is a doxia converter which converts files in apt and
other formats to confluence syntax [1].

I'm working on that. I tried some things with the Cookbook articles and
I believe that we can do that with a little bit of regular expressions.

Looks sweet to me! Is there a reasonable way to import the Maven APT
docs as the starting point for the Confluence docs?

I'm experimenting with Confluence for documentation/website usage. If
someone is interested in joining me, the wiki is at [1], the exported
website at [2] and it gets rsynched to [3] every hour.
If you aren't a committer but would still like to help out, please
download
the CLA PDF form, sign it and send a scanned copy to

I'll give your Confluence account access once your ICLA is on file
(see [4]
for details). This is necessary due to licensing issues.
