I'd also like to see it with more of the fanned boxes fading into the background. Either around the center or maybe trailing away toward the text as though the logo just spun into the page....

Think we're about ready to run a vote? Seem like people are
gravitating towards #7 (revised as #21).

Do we want to go further and have a series of lighter grey boxes,
rotating, dimming and retreating into the screen? How about grey
boxes in a fan, like playing cards?

There are two new versions available. It is new tries around 03_03
(#7) and 03_03_darkbg (#8).
Green background has been lightly updated on both.
The first version is the cleaned version, i.e. without the grey box.
The other one is a try to transform the bug as a feature. ;)

The more I look at #7 the more i like it. But it definitely needs some fixes. That grey box should become a little more visible + the rounded corners to make the whole logo more stable. Without the box the rotation of the icon will make the logo look like it's falling apart... well, I would experiment here a bit more...

The other squared logos look a bit too boring.
I like the last ones (#17/#18) best at the moment. The icon is modernized, the unicorn looks into the right direction and appears to be emergent. Don't remove that light-effect from any proposal, it's great! :)

It's fun because when I discussed yesterday with Christophe about the
grey behind the logo, he told me that he was aware of this was a
defect but he would keep it. Maybe we should keep this unexpected
element.

About the green eye... It was a way to give "life" to the unicorn. It
s also on the original tapestry [1]

Strange ... I thought it was on purpose, as if the background square
had "spiralled in" from the depth of the screen.

By the way, there is a defect on logo #7: a grey square behind the logo. It is a layer I forgot to remove. Please don't consider it :)

I have to agree, #7 is very nice.

If #7 is the one with the unicorn above the rotated square it's my
preferred too.
