Tapestry is a Java component-based web framework that features high productivity, great code reuse, robust deployment, and great performance.
We've had a bug fix release on the 5.3 branch that addressed some broken functionality and enhanced performance, especially under very heavy load. A further bug fix release is currently being voted on. Tapestry switched to Git as its source code repository, and that has greatly enhanced our ability to backport fixes from the master development branch to the 5.3 branch. This is a great service for our user community. In the master branch (which will be 5.4), work is well underway on signficant improvements to Tapestry's JavaScript support on both the client and the server. There have been some interesting releases of late from the community: * Portlet support * jQuery integration * Twitter Bootstrap integration * cometd integration * Highcharts integration (client-side JavaScript charting) * ... and several more. Mailing list traffic seems to be in the summer doldrums, but still running around 1000 messages per month. We are considering options for documentation, given that the Confluence Wiki approach we currently use is being end-of-lifed. -- Howard M.
