The following has to be added to the taverna language pom
<repository>
<id>apache Staging</id>
<name>Apache Staging Repository</name>
<url>http://repository.apache.org/content/groups/staging</url>
</repository>
Then taverna language does build even without a local copy of taverna parent.

PS change my vote to the release to
-1 BINDING this is critical.
Good catch Ian!

Subject: RE: taverna commandline build issues
Normally maven can get the dependencies including taverna-parent from the
repositories.
But taverna language only had snapshot repository information.
This points to
https://repository.apache.org/content/groups/snapshots/org/apache/taverna/taverna-parent/
But that does not have the 1-incubating version as that is a release not a
snapshot.
So clearly the taverna language pom is incomplete and should include the
release repository as well.

Subject: taverna commandline build issues
Hello,
What exactly is the current build process for taverna-parent & language. Are
you supposed to be able to mvn install eg taverna-language-commandline on its
own without doing a taverna-maven-parent or taverna-language install?
I noticed that it fails to mvn install on its own since it can't find the
airline dependency. Is there somewhere else rather than the parent where you
have to define the io.airlift.airline dependency?
Cheers,
Ian
