Elsewhere in Taverna - no. Registration was always optional in the workbench, so most users did not register :-)
There is a "notice" capability in the Taverna 2.* workbench that pops up a message if we had anything important to announce. I am not sure if that is still in Taverna 3 workbench. We would have to decide where it read the notice from.
