Hm, the proposed button at the bottom implies delete this python environment. Maybe this button should be under the packages, normally greyed out, and then red whenever multiple packages are selected? I agree on the fact deleting should show the fact that the deletion is being staged, so your proposal makes sense. Only worry is what if a user hits delete -> close? We probably want some modal that pops up and says "Are you sure you want to exit you have unsaved changes?" if we don't have one already. Besides that, this looks good!
