I believe a good approach would be to provide in-app tutorials for these foundational tasks. The tutorial could highlight the relevant feature, dim the rest of the interface, and provide a short explanation of what the user needs to do. We could also create a lightweight, mock-based sandbox containing only the frontend, with a guided walkthrough explaining the main features. Alternatively, the walkthrough could be integrated directly into the frontend codebase, which may make it easier to maintain as the interface evolves. Videos would still be a valuable secondary resource, especially for domain-specific workflows. However, they require users to switch context and follow along separately. An interactive, in-app walkthrough would let users learn by doing and provide guidance at the exact moment they need it.
