Hi everyone, During the UP–Apache Texera (Incubating) Hackathon on September 10–12 at Universidad Panamericana in Aguascalientes, Mexico, students worked on features to support workflow development, reuse, and debugging.
Four proposals now have pull requests open for community feedback: - *Workflow history and run comparison:* A panel for exploring saved workflow versions and comparing executions. https://github.com/apache/texera/pull/8525 - *Canvas selection and reusable workflow sections:* Select groups of operators and save sections for reuse in other workflows. https://github.com/apache/texera/pull/8527 - *Semantic operator search:* Find operators by describing what you want to do, alongside the existing name search. https://github.com/apache/texera/pull/8628 - *AI workflow fixer:* Suggest changes for supported workflow errors, with a diff for users to review before applying. https://github.com/apache/texera/pull/8637 These are initial contributions that still need review and refinement. We would appreciate the community’s feedback on which proposals to prioritize toward merging, whether their scope and design fit the project, and what changes would be needed. Please share broader feedback here and implementation-specific comments on the PRs. Thank you to the students for their contributions and to everyone helping review them! Best,
