Hi all, Per-user warehouses are now on by default on main. Each user owns their own warehouses instead of every execution sharing one. I proposed turning the flag on a week ago and there were no objections: https://github.com/apache/texera/discussions/8633
For a user: a Warehouses tab in the dashboard, a warehouse picker next to the computing-unit picker, and every execution must name one. With no warehouse yet, Run becomes "+ Warehouse" and leads to the create dialog. For a deployment: the switch only takes effect with the REST catalog (Lakekeeper), so deployments on another Iceberg catalog are unaffected. Results written before the flip stay readable. If you turn the switch back off, results written while it was on are refused with a message naming their warehouse, rather than surfacing as "table not found". Nothing is deleted, and re-enabling restores access. This is on main only. Please file an issue if it breaks something on your deployment. Best, Meng
