Looks like Protoc got upgraded on the build boxes - https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-13506
I think we may be OK building against 2.6.1 - at least for precommit - the Java APIs generated by 2.5 and 2.6.1 are backward compatible from what I can tell. Maybe we should just make this change? Thanks, Sid
