Saw a case where a vertex reported one less (x-1) killed attempt even though
'x' attempts were killed. I see VERTEX_FINISHED event followed by the
TASK_ATTEMPT_FINISHED event for the killed one which explains why logging it to
the entity server was off by one. This JIRA tracks how to make these numbers
consistent.
