The thrift-mode (contrib/thrift.el) Emacs syntax highlighter that comes with
Thrift is good, but it's not quite compatible as far as Emacs package
management goes. With a few minor tweaks, thrift.el could be added to MELPA,
allowing developers to edit .thrift files without having Thrift installed.
