I believe this is fixed already in master. Some related bug reports:
THRIFT-1458, THRIFT-1753, THRIFT-2022. The build failure was pulling in
tr1/functional, which has since been moved to it's own special header that goes
to <tr1/functional> or <functional>, as the platform permits.
