Added fixes required for Cpp 11 Support, not previously commited to master.
Would be nice to get these merged in since OS X workarounds can then be made
without any third party patches required, and any improvements that does not
break anything and allow for future Cpp 11 compatibillty is a good thing.
Someone needs to fix autotools to enable Cpp 11 on OS X, but I'm not too
familiar with autotools so hope someone else will assist?
Would be awesome to get these, along with THRIFT-2201 in 0.9.2.
