Elisp is the language used to customize the Emacs editor.
Supporting Elisp would allow Emacs users to interface services using thrift
with Emacs. E.g. Evernote, Twitter.
Note that it is possible today to interface emacs with a local process. Thus,
solution can be found where Emacs interface with a local script in a language
supported by Thrift (e.g. there is an Evernote mode based on Ruby). Though,
this makes the deployment much more difficult due to the added dependency.
