Hi *,
The equivalent to nuget or bower or the like in the Haxe ecosystem is
haxelib with the packages hosted on http://lib.haxe.org. In contrast to
nuget, the accounts and project ownerships are personal, there is no such
thing as an organization or group ownership. Therefore I would like to set
up the account using some address that is not bound to only me personally
(http://lib.haxe.org/u/JensG), but more to the Apache Thrift team as a
whole, in order to avoid a bad "bus factor".
So first question: What is the recommend way to proceed?
Next, is it a good idea to put a package onto that server before we released
0.9.3 at all? That would mean, that the package would have to be built
against trunk ... I'm not so sure if that is really a good idea, because it
than becomes kind of a quasi-release. Right now we only documented
installation via git, which is also possible with haxelib including
automatic pulling of updates. So from my feeling we should wait with the
package until 0.9.3, but maybe you have another opinion.
What do you think?
Thanks for your time,
JensG
