If asked what the logo should transport:
• Thrift is about connecting stuff ...
• ... easily and efficiently, ...
• ... eliminating any existing borders between languages and platforms.
• the last point could be rephrased as "building bridges between l+p"
In my opinion it should be something that clearly promotes this "connecting"
aspect of Thrift. But I would be fine with something completely different, eg.
some animal like other Apache projects use it (eg the hadoop elephant) as well,
so please don't let your creativity being stopped by me.
