James E. King, III commented on THRIFT-2583:
--------------------------------------------
If you are able to provide a patch containing any changes you made to the
library itself, we can record them here for posterity, however given the
special nature of the platform and lack of ability for the project to test it
using CI techniques, it would be a difficult sell to make it a fully supported
platform by the project however those decisions should be driven by the Apache
team. I am going to resolve your question as it sounds like you found a way to
make things work.

> Has anyone attempted to compile thrift for an xPC target platform? I want to
> use thrift to handle serialization and deserialization of UDP packets on such
> platform. However, it seems (on windows) thrift uses some Windows-only
> libraries (like WS2_32.dll). Is there a way to circumvent this? Or is there a
> list of system dependent functions thrift needs?
> Thank you.
