The patch for THRIFT-3110 was incomplete and it causes Travis *after_failure*
tasks for other than cross test to hang if failed.
A symptom of this bug is following log message at the end of failed tasks.

No output has been received in the last 10 minutes, this potentially indicates
a stalled build or something wrong with the build itself.

Fortunately, it only affects already failed tasks.
