GitHub user roshan opened a pull request:

    THRIFT-3158 Make deepcopy return T

    All TBase types return themselves, so this should be fine. I suppose that
without https://github.com/apache/thrift/pull/498 this is not strictly
backwards-compatible since `T` currently only extends `TBase<?,?>`.

You can merge this pull request into a Git repository by running:

    $ git pull https://github.com/roshan/thrift THRIFT-3158_deepcopy_returns_T

Alternatively you can review and apply these changes as the patch at:

    https://github.com/apache/thrift/pull/499.patch

To close this pull request, make a commit to your master/trunk branch
with (at least) the following in the commit message:

    This closes #499
