{{make cross}} is a good start :-)
The test mentioned here is the one living under {{/test/<language>}} in the
source tree. The test uses {{ThriftTest.thrift}} and should be implemented by
each and every language Thrift supports, because this is the basic test for
compatibility across languages. So we really need it.
Some more documentation besides the comments in the IDL file and the existing
test implementations can be found [over here on the Thridft
website|https://thrift.apache.org/test/].
If that's not enough and you need even deeper insights, [~roger.meier] will be
glad to answer any sophisticated questions related to the cross test suite that
may you come up with.
