Based on an old pull request that is being closed
(https://github.com/apache/thrift/pull/516), I am opening a wish ticket in Jira
to implement erlang unix socket support. Erlang version 19RC2 and later have
native support for unix sockets according to information I found in the pull
request from 2015.
