The title says "should throw TProtocolException.INVALID_DATA" but it'll throw a
standard {{function_clause}} exception.
That said, since whole library's error handling is basically the same, it
wouldn't make sense to introduce Thrift specific exception only here. Even if
we want to switch to Thrift specific exceptions, probably it shouldn't be done
under this issue.
