Just a recap, and to check if I understand, the issue is that this will need to
generate async code, as we will need to expose async on the protocol, and
expose something like `async_read_from_in_protocol` on the generated code (and
that is a pain to develop).
Is this the status / conclusion of this thread? It is possible, but difficult.
