[~jensg] got a first attempt to move the build system into the thrift monorepo
in https://github.com/apache/thrift/pull/3421. It changes the build process
slightly (e.g. requires to add a commit after the release with new set of
dockerfiles), but should not be too bad. We can probably automate it further by
having a github workflow raising a pull request on release.
I want to merge and see if the official docker images repository accepts the
library file.
