I've kind of lost hope with ASF's Jenkins installation, it's been broken in various ways for years now. I used to participate in administering the service, but I guess it's gotten way too complex nowadays for part-time volunteers to manage. Unless one of us wants to step up and get their hands dirty fixing Jenkins issues, I'd probably opt to disable the Jenkins build entirely and instead use something like Travis (https://travis-ci.org/) for our CI builds.
