Hi,
if gdalinfo is compiled without support of FITS
the test testParseFITS fails:
testParseFITS(org.apache.tika.parser.gdal.TestGDALParser) Time elapsed: 0.206
sec <<< FAILURE!
java.lang.AssertionError
at org.junit.Assert.fail(Assert.java:86)
at org.junit.Assert.assertTrue(Assert.java:41)

at org.junit.Assert.assertNotNull(Assert.java:631)
at
org.apache.tika.parser.gdal.TestGDALParser.testParseFITS(TestGDALParser.java:153)
On Ubuntu 14.04 gdalinfo does not seem to support FITS:
% gdalinfo
tika-parsers/src/test/resources/test-documents/WFPC2u5780205r_c0fx.fits
ERROR 4:
`tika-parsers/src/test/resources/test-documents/WFPC2u5780205r_c0fx.fits'
not recognised as a supported file format.
The simple solution (for now) is to uninstall gdalinfo.
Then the method canRun() fails and the tests are skipped.
Open a Jira for the problem?
Thanks,
Sebastian
