I made some updates to the parser in r1647749. But, do you have a sample file
with non-global attributes? I'm not seeing an obvious way to extract them in
the
[API|http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/thredds/v4.3/netcdf-java/v4.0/javadoc/ucar/nc2/NetcdfFile.html#getVariables()].
I'm pretty sure all variables (from all "groups") are extracted right now.
But, I don't think dimensions or attributes are extracted from all groups?
