Nick Burch commented on TIKA-1154:
----------------------------------

The xerces dependency would've been removed by the move to POI 3.11

I've just done a clean build of the Tika App from trunk, and tried it with the
--text and --html options. Both return no text, but header info on --html, for
the attached file. So, I think this is fixed now?

> Tika hangs on format detection of malformed HTML file.

> We are using Tika on large web archives, which also happen to contain some
> malformed files. In particular, we found a HTML file with binary characters
> in the DOCTYPE declaration. This hangs Tika, either embedded or from the
> command line, during format detection.
> An example file is attached.
