Tim Allison commented on TIKA-1733:
-----------------------------------
Thank you for submitting a document that triggers this issue. I'm not able to
reproduce it by starting with a fresh doc and putting a table in the first
footer and the rest of the footers.
The issue is triggered when processing the range returned by
{{headerFooter.getFirstFooterSubrange()}}. If we remove that from the
{{footers[]}} that we send into {{handleHeaderFooter}}, the parse works without
a problem. There is also no problem if at the Tika level we send in the full
range for headerFooter ({{headerFooter.getRange()}}.
I wonder if POI is not returning the full range for the
firstFooterSubrange...will move this over to pure POI and see what I find.

> I'm using Tika to extract text for Solr indexing.
> For some word documents, Tika throws this Exception:

> That seems to be the same bug as
> [https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TIKA-1251] but I cannot reproduce the
> bug with the attached doc in this JIRA.
> Nevertheless, I cannot reproduce with my document and 1.4 Tika version.
