Hello.

Is a pleasure for me to contact to the Apache Tika team.
My name is Jesus Valenzuela.

I have a question and I hope you can help me. I was looking for a way to
install Apache Tika as Windows Service, I have been searching in Internet for
some mechanism, there are a lot of information but I can't find out something
concrete.

I found an article that indicates how to run a Java application as a windows
service :
http://ulrichpalha.com/myblog/2011/11/19/using-commons-daemon-procrun-to-run-your-java-application-as-a-windows-service/

But in this case, I would have to make a wrapper for Tika to start and stop the
service - I think so :(

There are a best way to install Tika as a Windows Service?

For example, using ElasticSearch, in the folder bin there is a file named
service.bat, when you run this file ES is installed as a Windows Service.

Thank you for your time.
Regards.
