Josh Burchard created TIKA-3964:
-----------------------------------
Summary: Please create a metadata flag to indicate an exception
occurred
Key: TIKA-3964
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TIKA-3964
Project: Tika
Issue Type: Bug
Components: core
Affects Versions: 2.6.0
Environment: n/a
Reporter: Josh Burchard
Somewhat akin to: TIKA-3873
In my particular use case when I'm sending files to the Tika server and getting
back results, there's generally nothing I can do with an exception so I'd
prefer to simply log a line like "A parse exception occurred for file %s\n" (or
whatever).
In this case it would be convenient to have a metadata flag indicating there
was an exception, without all the verbosity that comes with X-TIKA:EXCEPTION:*
