Tim Allison created TIKA-4168:
---------------------------------
Summary: Extract LiveCycle Usage Rights from PDFs
Key: TIKA-4168
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/TIKA-4168
Project: Tika
Issue Type: Task
Reporter: Tim Allison
In a DM, [Philippe Lagadec|https://www.decalage.info/] asked me if we had or
could find any files with Adobe LiveCycle usage rights:
https://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/11.0/Services/WS92d06802c76abadb-6ec569c512dbeb3d9d6-7ffd.2.html
I did some digging, and I _think_ we can easily look for values (UR3) in the
/Perms dictionary. Again, I _think_ this would tell us that there's a signature
for LiveCycle Usage rights in the file, certainly not with the specificity of
"import/export form data" vs "2d barcode scanning".
I'm opening this ticket to ask for help in figuring out what we can extract
along these lines.
I think this info would be important for forensics and digipres folks.
What do you think?
