We have not done anything to Tiles to change the way it works in JSF. My
assumption is that if you're in JSF 1.1 you probably will need the
<f:verbatim> tags. Hopefully, you wouldn't need them in JSF 1.2. However,
there's a thread on Shale-dev about 1.2 not working.
This demonstrates my perfect ignorance in JSF :-P
