Apache Tiles is a templating framework built to simplify the development of web application user interfaces.
The Tiles project had an extremely slow quarter with no community changes and no releases. Mailing list activity was at a trickle until the very end of the period. At that time a few user-related questions were asked and answered and there was some activity on the dev@ list about switching over to the svnpubsub website architecture. The website migration was not completed by the deadline set by infrastructure. Work to implement this is still underway. Overall, it seems that interest in Tiles is slowing again, but has not come to a complete standstill. We should monitor over the next few quarters to see what happens before making any decisions about the future.
