stephen mallette commented on TINKERPOP-1499:

Gremlin and TinkerPop have no ElasticSearch dependencies. Those who implement
TinkerPop might have such dependencies, like Titan, Unipop, etc. You should
raise your issue with the graph provider you are using. Also, given that you
are using Gremlin 2.x, I can assume you are using Titan 0.5.x - I suggest you
bring up your issue on the Aurelius Graphs mailing list:

For further clarifications, TinkerPop 2.x is no longer maintained. This JIRA
project is for TinkerPop 3.x.

> We are using tinkerpop , gremlin elasticsearch in our setup to produce a
> GraphDB and is working fine at the moment. However when we want to adapt the
> same to an enviorment and scale up we want to use to the managed
> Elasticsearch provided by AWS.However I do notice that the latest
> Tinkerpop/Gremlin doesnot support REST calls to Elasticsearch but only TCP
> calls are supported.Hence wanted to know if this can be incorporated in the
> next release , or is there a temporary solution to mitigate it.
