thank you for writing this up. nice to see folks expanding ideas in that
document. just a note for future PRs, please include the JIRA number in the
title of the PR as a suffix. Thanks for including it in the description though
- that's always desired.
This is merged now and i also added a comment and a separate section on
"serialization". ---
